Travel adapter and converter
When traveling to other countries with electrical appliances, it is always better to carry travel adapter along. Since each place uses different types of plugs and electrical voltages, a voltage converter and a suitable adapter is necessary.
Converters are those that can change line voltage from one value to another. They can be used in two ways for two types of voltage connections, one for unearthed wires and the other for earthed connection. They have step-up and step-down kind of operating systems with switch controls.
Adapters are those that allow plugging of the electrical appliance from the original outlet into a foreign outlet. Presumably there are 13 kinds of outlets in the world. An individual travel adapter will be enough for people doing business travel. This is apt if the person keeps traveling to the same country in case of a world tour or something of that sort, an international adapter or a universal adapter is very helpful. It is like a kit and contains different plug connectors in a compact case. Since it involves voltage, safety parameters also should be taken into account.
All kinds of these converters and adapters are sold in airport shops, hardware stores and duty free shops at any place. Taking a step further most of the modern electrical devices like video games, laptops, digi-cameras come with power supplies that can directly suit all plugs anywhere in the world. Travel adapters are the best for frequent international travels.
