Scart Lead – A connector for audio visual equipments
A scart lead is a standard device that is used to connect audio visual equipments. In simple words, a scart lead is a cable that synchronizes the audio and visual data so that we can enjoy the various videos or games on the electrical devices that we use for different purposes.
All the analog signals that were originally received by individual cables were gathered together in one cable and this led to the making of a scart lead. This was a single cable that replaced many cables together for connecting the equipments dealing with entertainment purpose. A scart lead is capable of carrying signals that are composite, meaning that they support analog signals as well as the ones that are transmitted through cathode rays. Through a scart connector, we can easily change the television from standby mode to video mode. It was primarily used with the television sets. It made the use of antennas that supported transmission clearly. The antennas were different as per the location of the device and required to be set.
But with the introduction of scart lead, the antenna was no more required. In the present times, with the increasing demand of high definition mediums, the scart leads are not to be seen much. It is so because they have less transmission speed and also cannot support multiple usage devices, which is the requirement of the present time. A scart lead is useful for those who just want a simple television, without many functions.
